Sir Alfred Gilbert, R. A. (1854-1934)

Gilbert's works speak for themselves but the photos do not do the works justice. "Mother and Child" here is a good example of poor quality photography which lets our National Sculptors down. It is currently in the V&A, well displayed and in a prime position. (This is not one of their photos!) A biography and links to many works can be found at: http://www.victorianweb.org/sculpture/gilbert/gilbertov.html
